A Closer Look

We at PerfectlyFestive.com have been experimenting with new ways to showcase our products. So many times we hear from people that the items they received are even better looking than what they envisioned from our photos online. As  result, we've started a youtube channel.  We've even included a shortcut link to it on our main page. You can check there periodically and see some of our new items, or, if you have a specific item you are looking at, you can see if we have a video image of it.  Here are some of the items that you can currently check out on the channel:

 Hydrangea Bunnies

Glittering Easter Eggs

Sullivan's Red & White Icicle Ornament

The ornaments, in particular, are easier to visualize from the videos. You get a better idea of their size and how beautiful they are. Stay tuned for more in the future!

Two More Days...!

Each morning my children wake up and announce to me how many days are left until Easter.  This morning, I discovered that they (my 7 and 5 year old) have actually "updated" one of my Easter displays and made an easy countdown.  They told me they did this so their younger sister and brother could see how many days until the Easter Bunny comes.  Their countdown is actually really cute so I wanted to share it with you.

This is on my fireplace mantel.  The rabbit (with the birdhouse and blue bird) was already there in the center as the "Easter Bunny".  They added the Metal Bobble Rooster and the Bobble Bunny.  Next year, I think I'm going to build upon this and let them create a bigger countdown using the "Easter Friends" that they like.  All of the items above were bought at Perfectly Festive.  Here are photos of each item up close (and in much better resolution than the one I took!)

The Beloved Bobble Bunny

The Metal Bobble Rooster

The Easter Bunny I have is one I bought last year.  Unfortunately, this particular one isn't available any longer, but there are some really cute ones that were released this year. In fact, I almost replaced it with one of these. When you see how cute they are, you'll see why I was so tempted!

These rabbits are much taller than the bobble bunny and chick, which is what makes it such a terrific centerpiece.  The one thing to note, is since these rabbits are made of resin, they are somewhat heavy and kids can break them.  I think that is why my kids love the bobble bunnies and chicks so much-- they are made of metal and they truly do bobble (or bounce). So, in my kids minds, they really want to be touched and moved around the house.  I think it is neat to see how creative they can be and how excited they are when they create a new holiday scene.  So, be sure to create your own countdown!

How To Make A Charming Easter Display

This is one of the most elegant Easter displays I have seen recently -- it has the perfect mix of elegance and whimsy with the gingerbread rabbit.  The best part, is how easy it is to create!  Here is what you will need to create it.

Start with a decorative vase. We used a white one in this display, but you can use anything you might have on hand.  We recommend white or a pastel color.  You will then need some sprays to put in the vase. Here is what we used:

The RAZ Imports 29" Easter Egg Spray.  You will need at least two of these.  Our display has 2.  You will also need two green leaf sprays.

In front of the arrangement on the table, we used regular green grass that you would place in an Easter basket.  On it, we placed various sizes of the glitter Easter Eggs.

You will want to scatter these glittered eggs all over the grass in front of the arrangement that you just created. Now, last but definitely not least, are the stars of your arrangement. The Cookie Rabbits. There are two sizes, so you can decide if you want to use just one or two. In our arrangement, we incorporated both. If you want to use just one, we recommend the large one, which has been linked to on the picture below.

Now, you will have a charming Easter display of your own!  As we've said in previous posts, don't be afraid to experiment and create wonderful designs of your own.  If you have created an elegant Easter display utilizing some of our products, please send us a picture. We'd love to see them!

Easter Decorations You Won't Want To Miss

Ready or not, Easter is less than two weeks away!  I've finally completed decorations for my house.  With Easter following so close to St Patrick's Day this year, it was not an easy task. I'm never quite sure which decorations will stand out in the minds of my kids.  The garland on the mantel is always a favorite, but some I wouldn't have been able to predict.  Here are some of the Easter decorations from our site that you will want to be sure not to miss as they are new found favorites with the kids in my house!

The Easter Bunny Hat Wreath - my kids and all of their friends LOVE this.  The feet are very soft and they can't help but pet it every time they open our front door.

The cutest bunnies you have ever seen. I have these on our mantel, flanking the Easter Garland.

These egg ornaments are hanging from the chandelier in our dining room, and they are egg-ceptional!

Another show stopper at our house are these flickering candles...try not to miss out on these hidden gems!

Easter Rabbits, Eggs & Wreaths

I recently took down my Valentines Day decorations and I realized, that St Patrick's Day and Easter are very close this year. I try not to skip holidays and decorate my house accordingly.  Even though there aren't many St Patrick's Day decorations, I somehow manage to pull off an Irish feel to the house.  I must admit that this year, I have been so tempted to go straight to the Easter decorations.  There are so many cute ones that I just cannot wait to display.  Not only are the decorations incredibly cute, they are so bright and cheery.  They really help remind me that Spring is almost here and that soon we'll be able to enjoy the warm nights outside with friends.  For now, here are some of my favorite new items that I hope you notice on our site!
